With cravings comes a desire to indulge, with knowledge comes a desire to act.
Our culture loves candy, ice cream, cake, soda and thousands of other things we’ll affectionately call “sweets”.
We’ve been asking ourselves: how does it serve us?
We’ve concluded that the reasons are mostly social. “As if I need more sugar in my diet,” many people will say jokingly at their own expense. But pressed any further, you can be sure to expect a quick change in subject, a laugh, or no response at all from them.
SugarsAnonymous is a community which offers support and provides resources to those who wish to continue a discussion of how consuming so much sugar has impacted our lives. The site is also a means to abstaining entirely from processed sugars.
The creators of this site have resolved to eliminate their sugar intake during the year of 2013 and encourage others to pledge the same for any length of time.
Everyone knows their own body best. With regard to basic nutrition and a willingness to respond to our individual biological nuances, SugarsAnon provides a means to live simply, honestly, and sugar-free while being nurtured and held accountable.
